Anyone remember....BLURP BALLS?

Shortly after the success of Madballs at American Greetings Toy division: Amtoy, the folks at Those Characters from Cleveland were at it again wih a new spheracle miracle.
It was called BLURP BALLS.
The product was licensed by TCFC to Ertl Toys and Collectables, and consisted of 8 all-new, extremely disgusting designs. All of which had the patented ability to spit out or 'blurp-out' a smaller, even more obnoxious mini-ball. The entire line was designed by Madball contributor: James Groman. These were quite successful as well, and were even named one of the coolest toys of the year in 1991 by Entertainment Weekly.
Here are all 8 designs in package for your viewing pleasure. I will post design art in the next week or so.

Haha, I remember blurp balls! I had Croaky Bugchuck, the frog one that spit out the fly. Those were awesome!

Blurp Balls were even mentioned in Time Magazine when they first came out! And, hey, let's not forget to give some props to the writer who came up with all those disgusting names & bios! ;-)

Hey, Hey!
I think we just got a post from Rick Reising, the very guy that christined the Blurpballs with their feistily individual monikers!
(er, he was the writer who came up with the names and horrible histories for the Blurp Balls!!)
Thanks for the reminder, Rick. And the Time magazine blurp!
