Our friend here was one of the lucky few to obtain one of the first Madball T-shirts offered up by the company(MIGHTY FINE) at select (HOT TOPIC) stores. But fear not, the limited release of the Madballs shirts was so successful that a new, larger shipment of shirts will be arriving at stores in the coming weeks!
Run out and get yours, we promise that you will look better than this guy does when you wear yours...
(The image here is the creature from: "I was a Teenage Frankenstein". It is a bust sculpted by Steve West for Earthbound Studios.)

Madballs Series 3 Schematics

Here are 3 of the style control drawing/schematics drawn by designer James Groman to guide the toy sculptor as the patterns are created for the Madballs Series 3 toys.
The Madball sculptures are created by some talented folks at American Greetings Product's toy partner (Basic Fun). Specifically, Wave 2 and 3 have been sculpted by the legendary Jack Dennett. Jack has made a name for himself by sculpting many, many toys, model kits and collectors statues for some of the biggest names in the licensing business over the years. I am very glad to have him working with us on the new Madballs product.

(MADBALLS.COM)Playbrains Announces Madballs™ in Babo:Invasion Game for Xbox LIVE® Arcade and PCs

Playbrains, an independent game studio, announced their new game, Madballs in Babo:Invasion, at the Montreal International Game Summit. Featuring the hit ever-"gross" Madballs toy characters from the 1980s, the fast-paced multiplayer 3-D shooter game will be available through Xbox LIVE® Arcade and as a downloadable game in 2009.

Playbrains partnered with American Greetings Properties, who recently re-launched the 80s classic Madballs toy and entertainment brand, to develop the game featuring the hilariously grotesque Madballs characters. In the game, two Madballs characters crash land on a planet in the middle of a civil war between the peaceful Babos and chaotic Scorched forces and join the fray. The game features a dozen characters, each with special abilities, fighting with many different weapons across multiple landscapes. There is a deep single-player campaign and many different co-op and multiplayer modes of gameplay.

Nickelodeon Madballs Commercials!!

Here is one of 2, ALL NEW Madball TV commercials running exclusively on Nickelodeon. I like these alot because they have a bit of the flavor of the original, 1980's commercials.

Madball Paintings!!

Yes, I have been missing in action for the last few weeks.
I am overloaded with freelance and some other personal projects that need my undivided attention, so the blog has been neglected once again.
But, I did realise that I hadn't posted my two new Madball paintings that I had done a few months back. These were created for our American Greetings Madball Gallery Show. I challenged myself to get these two painted as fast as I could, and ended up spending 2 hours a piece on them...
Don't be too impressed, they are only 6 inches square in size.
So, here they are, for your viewing pleasure, (or horror...)

Presenting: BLECH BEARD!!!

Well, I finally finished painting number 3 in my acrylic/Madball series. This one was primarily done as a submission to a Madballs Calendar. It will also be hanging in the American Greetings art gallery in a week or so as part of a Madball art show we will be having. I will try to post photos of this show when it is up for all you Madballs fans.
I am also hoping to get one more Madball painting done before then....
SKULL FACE!
